Title: WBA12/13 in S9000
Post by: TeargasHorse on October 10, 2017, 06:44:54 PM
I have S9000 Alphas that we are converting from Mars to WBA-12/13 with 22 heads; we are adding the RS-232 boards onto them. The validators are flashed, but not to Bally versions. Even though they are not flashed specifically to Bally games, when the power is turned on, should the transport cycle? I have been going round and round about this with my cleaning lady who insists that because they are not flashed to Bally, they will not even cycle. She crazy...or is she?

Some of those cleaning ladies are multi-talented...

WBA 22 heads are not compatible with US firmware.

So there is no way a transport will cycle when power is applied even on the work bench with an external power supply? I'm on checking if the transport will cycle.

The transport will not cycle unless it receives a reset request.  So just applying power does nothing.  If the validators have the wrong firmware, shouldn't that be your concern over whether it cycles or not?
