Title: bally 5500s arm stuck in down position

i recently purchased a bally 5500s from fb marketplace on the cheap. replaced the mainboard battery and some lights and it has been working fine for weeks. just now the arm became stuck in the DOWN position.. after accepting coins and reel spin. still working fine with spin button. havent dl any schematics or service manuals yet.. any quick fixes?????

Most likely needs lubrication. The ratchet pawl is  stuck.  Its hard to see in there but you should be able flip the pawl by hand to get the handle back to its home position. Pull the coin hopper and get your head in there or use a mirror and light.   Then spray some LPS1 on the entire mechanism.
