I was at a Gartner data center conference (in Las Vegas) and the province of New Brunswick (Canada) was there offering designs around"free cooling". This is where you use outside ambient air which is already cool to reduce the heat in a data center. I am from Alberta (Canada) and we have lower ambient temperatures than NB. So when I picked at the design a bit I found out they were looking for people to come and build in their province and this did not actually exist.

I just have to imagine that Nevada which has some of the highest outdoor temperatures would be the worst place to build a data center from an operating point of view. Yet VMware, EMC and now Hulu have located there.
