Title: p/e poker, I lost voltage to coin comparitor after installing wrong? hopper?
Post by: r5g on February 14, 2018, 05:54:53 PM
I have a 86 p/e poker that I got several of this type in a package deal, so I don't know all its history
anyway, I got it mostly working and had the coin comparator working, I did not test original hopper at this point,
but the hopper that was in it looked wrong, and I pulled it, and put in a 6 pin hopper with opt eye, marked igt 1987
as soon as I did this I lost power to coin comparator, and its not a blown fuse, I noticed it was overfused too, so did I blow something on mother board?
the hopper that was in it, originally, was a 7 pin, with micro sw,
the type of mother board it has is the kind that goes all the way in back bottom of machine with 2 connectors up top
thanx for any help sending me in right direction to fix.. :)
also this game cab is old enough it has the simple interlock for door sw that can be pulled out even when door open to test comparator with power on, ect. so its not any door interlock sw problem

The 7V fuse provides power, check it with a Ohm meter.

Those are both triacs Q401E3 will sub.
Q1 turns on the bet max button light.
