Title: MEI Cashflow SC-6602 won't take new hundreds.

Or a Plc chip. Please let me know if someone can help.

I myself have been looking for firmware for well over a year and have gotten nowhere. I even bought the banana programer, but it has old firmware files and I have no way or don't know anyone who can put the new files on it.

I would switch over to UBA's at this point if you are going to change things out. They are pricier, but I seriously doubt JCM will come out with any further updates to the WBA's, not that there are any new currency types coming down the pike, but you never know. Updating UBA's is VERY easy and the firmware can be found a lot easier than the MEI stuff.

How often does someone us 100's?

I have two Mei's. One takes the Newer 100's & one doesn't. Since I don't use them for the 100's & both work for TI-TO I will leave them alone..

Can the MEI heads be flashed in place like Dynamic Buttons can be? The IGT software recognizes the MEI head and it looks like firmware can be pushed. Is a banana programmer the confirmed ONLY way to flash?
Other question is why wouldnt someone just utilize a EEPROM for updates? Seems like that is the easy way for the home market, anyone out there with a EEPROM? I know once its inserted you can not flash via programmer but who cares?

I have a box of SC6602 that are collecting dust I would like to use. Some have the tracking enabled and are useless until deactivated. Some are flashed for downstacker but I need for upstack (G20's) and some other minor changes.

Anyone that may be able to help me, please PM me.
