Title: I BOUGHT FROM VENDOR ON THE HOME PAGE-WHAT SHOULD I EXPECT
Post by: vegasbaby on October 26, 2014, 02:22:24 PM
Hi

I have been looking adding a slot machine. So a lot of thought went into my search. I google & newlife games this vendor looking for complaints received & found none.
I knew what what mfg,style & options i wanted.
I wanted a
S2000 5 REEL ROUND TOP,BLACK CABINET,MULTI DENOMINATION SET UP, TRIPLE DOUBLE RED HOT SEVENS.

SOUNDS SIMPLE,read on

SUNDAY

I found the machine from one of the vendors listed above. I spoke to a gentlemen last Sunday, explained to him/vendor what machine i wanted, what game title & options. He agreed to get that slot  machine to me.He sent me a invoice with the above listed machine options on the invoice. I made payment via Paypal credit & shipping with credit card.I  was also considering buying a second machine. Vendor was aware of that fact.

TUESDAY

Then on Tuesday i receive a text and picture of the slot machine they pulled for me. And it was shocked that they were going to send me a machine that had no multi denomination & had cut out in upper window where a  progressive meter would go.
I called quickly & explained thats not the machine i agreed to buy & it was missing the MULTI DENOMIATION set up & game glass was set up for progressive meter. And dont send me that machine, its not what i agreed to buy.He tried to to tell me these penny machines are set up without the MULTI DENOMINATION BECAUSE THERE ARE PENNY MACHINES,i explained to him that not correct, there are plenty of machines set with that feature option. He then said to let him shop around for the machine & options i  wanted. I  told him thats fine,i justed wanted the slot machine with the correct game title & options so take your time,i just want it right.

WEDNESDAY

I receive a text stating i have a RED HOT OR A DOUBLE RED HOT SEVENS,with further follow up or picture of machine.
STILL NOT THE GAME TITLE I WANTED.

THURSDAY

I receive a second text stating FOUND DOUBLE RED HOT HOT SEVENS,WITH MULTI DENOM
I responded do you have a picture
And the vendor response was i shipped it yesterday
I then requsted the tracking number
no further response from vendor
STILL NOT THE GAME TITLE I WANTED

FRIDAY

AM  i text vendor, still waiting for tracking number
Vendor response,i will be in office after 3 & it was shipped via road runner freight
I text vendor 3pm west coast time STILL WAITING  FOR TRACKING NUMBER
VENDOR- TEXT BACK -BE BACK IN ONE HOUR

SATURDAY

I text & called the vendor-no response from vendor.

SUNDAY

I text vendor explaining i would be canceling this sale via PAYPAL & CREDIT CARD.
Still no response from vendor.

So in closing i have ordered slot machines & parts from other vendors on the home page. And each transactions was flawless. The items i received were just as they were described & each transaction was flawless.
But in this sale its the complete 360 change in the wrong direction. The vendor was in such a big hurry to slam me with what thought was a good machine & make the sale before i canceled,he lost track, of the fact i was also considering a second machine,so he could of made more money by bundling 2 slot machines

Here is what i know,i think i have a new slot machine being shipped to me,without my consent. I know the game title is not correct. i have no ideal of the over all condition of the reel strips, cabinet as no pictures were sent prior to shipping.I DID REQUEST PICTURES--I have a vendor, who wont respond to my calls & texts.Vendor has stated it was shipped via ROAD RUNNER FREIGHT.And who knows what type of surprises await me if and when the machine shows up.

So my questions to the members what would you do,if this had happened to you? Do i have any options at this point? Or where did i go wrong?

THANKS
MARK

I'd do what I needed to do to cover my ass. You get what you ordered or you don't buy it and if you're not sure then you don't accept the shipment when it arrives. Hope you didn't send the money through PayPal as a "personal" payment though

Paid for machine via PAYPAL CREDIT,i dont know if that will help me or not. Shipping was on a credit card.

Vegasslots777 to my knowledge is not a supporting vendor on this site. Their ebay listings are filled with untrue statements, inaccurate pictures, etc. Read their feedback. Even some of the positives have negative statements. They list S2000 coinless machines with pictures of S Plus machines. They claim their S2000s have Bose speakers (not true). Pull arm mechanisms rebuilt (seriously doubt). It's one misconception after another. It's very conceiveable that you won't get what you expect or ordered. You definitely have the right to refuse the shipment if it arrives at all & Paypal buyer protection as well. Check out these ebay listings. The pics aren't even S2000s. Guys like this make the honest folks in this business look bad IMO.

Not sure how that'll work, but if I'm gonna pay $100's of dollars for something it's gonna be what I ordered or I'm keeping my money.

As a side note, you'd be hard pressed to find a penny sot that's NOT mutidenom, at least in the casinos I go to, usually 1, 2, 3 & 5 cents are the options and if it's not already set up that way it is very easy to change it.

I have no idea who owns it. I spoke to Marty there about 3-4 years ago who wanted to sell me a non backlit S2000 for $1100 & told me he would give me $100 for every scratch on it (yeah right). I was none the wiser at that time but glad I never bought it.

Received this PM from another member earlier.

"Ron, i dont want to post this but the address on the receipt is Terry Days place aka slot machines ltd. , I think they go by ohio river slots also. Dont know if they bought the other place out or what. 3822 Kinsey Rd Englewood Ohio is Terry Days address, been there several times but will never go back. i didnt get treated to well on the last deal and they still wont return any of my calls. If you wish to shed some light on this feel free I just dont want to do it."

I know Mark blacked out portions of his invoice but obviously it still can be read. He placed his order with Ohio River slots AKA Slot Machines LTD AKA casinovendors.com. The invoice reads USA Gaming AKA vegasslots777.com. You guys have more faces than a broke mirror. Is USA Gaming or Veagasslots777 yet another name for the same company? Maybe Terry or Chris could shed some light on the subject.

I thought i would chime back in,as to why i decided to start this post.  I contacted OHIORIVER SLOT MACHINES via email through there web site, they passed my email to one of there sister company AKA USA GAMING OR VEGASSLOTS777,who is not a member on Newlife Games. OHIORIVER SLOT MACHINE & SLOT MACHINE LTD & VEGASLOTS777  all have the same address SAME WAREHOUSE & there own web site. I just feel if i contact a vendor listed on the home page, that vendor should be the one should contact me. It wouldnt of prevented the problems i in countered. As i told the vendor tonight,if you didnt have the machine & game title i wanted, then just be up front and say so. But instead this vendor did all he could to keep a sale, rather than do the right thing & keep a customer for life.

Just to be clear, the banner ads on the homepage are based on a performance level judgement made when they were put there. By and large those judgements haven't changed because there hasn't been cause presented to do so. The simple fact that they are listed isn't meant to be a guarantee that you will receive the quality of service that got them listed, just the likelihood that you will based on their past performance. If they accrue a level of bad behaviour I would think an evaluation would be done and they could possibly be removed, but it has often happened that members have had issues and it's like pulling teeth to get them to tell us who they were dealing with. The companies listed don't pay to be listed, it's a reputation based system and we are a community on NLG that builds those reputations based on our experiences. It is unfortunate that you've had a bad experience with one of those vendors but you've approached the problem in the right way by outing that experience here on the forum. It sounds as if you've got yourself covered as far as the purchase and now other prospective buyers are aware of the situation and can make a more educated choice for there slot needs. Personally I was hoping the vendor would provide a second side to the story but sometimes silence speaks volumes. Long story longer, I don't believe it's right to blame the site for the actions of a member they likely haven't had any complaints lodged against before this. I'll still say there are excellent vendors listed on the home page and a person is likely to get treated well and fairly when dealing with them. Don't let one bad experience sour the whole group. I am in no way sticking up for the one that provided your experience, just the ones that didn't

Well this is a great way to start out Monday morning.

Reading the above post I believe I have a right to defend ourselves " Slot Machines Unlimited aka Ohioriverslots" I built Ohioriverslots 2 summers ago because I believe its easier for our customers to navigate through. Anyways... Im going to hold in a lot of thoughts and things that I want to say right now.

Marty is what we call a " dealer".... has big fancy websites but doesn't really have machines. He gets the sale and we produce the machine for him... as far as his customer service that's completely on him.... I can't help that he didn't send pictures, videos, etc. I have our own business to run not his. Mark I believe you called me on a Saturday or Sunday of last week or two weeks ago? I don't remember  regardless the past two weekends I was at a wedding... I listened to your voicemail and forwarded your number to Marty... whom we drop ship for. He then contacted me saying he sold a triple double red hot 7 5 reel machine.... that's all we were told. I then responded I am almost positive we don't have that exact machine but we have a double or a triple Red Hot 7's machine and if that would be ok.... and he said yes. If you would like me to post corresponding text I will even go as far to do so. We were never told about multi- denomination... and your actually wrong... not all machines come with multi denomination. The unfortunate thing about this industry is a lot of the consumers and collectors don't have a clue about how the machines come in from casinos. That's why if you read my site I always state that I will send pics, and short videos of the machines working before they're sent.

NLG is a family and I understand that and we try and take care of each other on here.... as far as not being able to be trusted as a vendor I believe is astonishing. My father probably sold almost every member/ vendor their first machine on here... we've been around for a long long time and plan on being here. My brother and I take extreme pride in our business and what we do. My dad came from nothing and probably outfitted one of the largest companies in the entire country as far as dealing with both International/ Domestic customers.

Honestly to whomever said they were treated right when they came here or that we ignored your phone calls.... I'll be upfront theres probably a reason... I have no idea who this may be but would like to know so I could atleast address them. Any of you members can email, call, text myself or my brother at anytime and you will see that we are quick to respond and always take care of our customers.

This is one of the main reasons I don't sell to a lot of NLG members because it seems its always a headache... nothing is every nice enough, clean enough, theres a scratch, or the machine is more brown than he wanted to be.

Again Mark.... I invite you to call me I will be more than welcome to accommodate you make things right... but we only do what we are told by our dealers and I am sorry that he lacked in his communication... and I get it that comes back on us

Anyways your machine is actually Multi Denom

My number is 937 672 7288- Chris - you guys can call me whenever

HI
One last update.
Criss from Slots Unlimited did give me a call today to explain his company's side. His company did not make the mistakes that caused the problems that his third party vendor caused.I wont go into alot of details, but I'm happy with his responce. He  has promised to make things right,if there are any issues, once the slot machine shows up.I  wouldn't mine dealing  with slot unlimited in the future, when needed.

THANKS
MARK

Glad he clarified and glad you guys are working it out. No one really expects a showroom quality machine but the title and features you want on a working machine isn't to much to ask

This sounds like a situation involving an over-zealous salesman promising anything & everything to make the sale, then wanting to move on quickly to the next deal and not ensuring that the customer receives what he ordered. It is good to see that the slot company itself is being forthright about things. Maybe instead of selling thru a broker they should just pay the broker a finders fee for the customer order but then process things directly with the customer.

I dealt with Marty years ago (Slot Machines USA). Got ripped off on price of my first machine. He let go his best Tech (would pay him much). He was up on tax evasion in 2007. At one time sold part or all his business to a foreign investor. Not much of a businessman to me.

This is my opinion and in no way the opinion of this site.

RB- For the record... SlotmachinesLTD has nothing to do with this sale. I received a phone call .... was at a wedding... will provide pictures since you guys like to get so worked up.... I then copy and pasted the number and sent it to Marty for him to call... had no Idea what it was about... 2 days later I was told I sold a Triple 5 reel Red Hot7's.... and we prepared it like we have been for the guy for 10 years now... Again we had nothing to do with this sale... I never even talked to Mark... the shipping address is our warehouse where Marty drop ships his orders

As far as a finders fee.... our "dealers" deal with their own customers that they sell too... they take on the credit card fees, the risk of a chargeback, and the phone calls

Being in business not everyone is going to have positive things to say about your company... it's like going through life acting like everyone is going to like you. To whatever member actually came to our place and "will never come back" I would love to know who that was. Probably about some of the friendliest.... and most honest company in the business.

FOR THE RECORD WE HAD NOTHING TO DO WITH MARK SNOW'S ORDER.... WE JUST PREPARED THE MACHINE HOW WE WERE TOLD TO. I spoke with Mark yesterday.... I didn't even need to because its really not my issue but I just wanted to clear the air with him so that he could understand what goes on... I think he was happy with the answer he was given

God bless NLG

Well I don't have any personal experience with slot machines LTD, so I can't say any thing bad about them. I do know Marty, and I would never deal with that guy, and he has no affiliation with SlotmachinesUSA at all.

This is a terrible story.  I hope that it ends well.  I too felt that the sponsoring vendors were/are some of the best.  I thought that was why they were listed there.  IF the game is out there to be had then I hope that the seller gets that game to him.  Karma is a B____!

My 2 cents

I just ran across this article.   Boy do I have things to say about this vendor.   His very polite and well written explanation is what you whould want the company image to be.  Reality????  They are not what they say they are.  They have attitude from the word hello.  Just needed to chime in on this.
