Title: WMS BB1 Stepper boot failed
Post by: Nurbo on May 09, 2023, 01:51:07 PM
Hello,

I have just acquired 2 WMS BB1 steppers which were sold as non-functional and stored for long time.

For the moment I only work on the Double Easy Money. It has the green MPU and a BIOS 1600.

All the power leds are lit on the backplane.

I turned on the machine and the boot is stuck on this screen.

Here is also a video of the boot sequence : https://youtu.be/KgK-fVsJab8 (https://youtu.be/KgK-fVsJab8)

I don't have a clear ram card yet.

I have the same issue as mguistolise : https://newlifegames.com/nlg/index.php?topic=35367.0 (https://newlifegames.com/nlg/index.php?topic=35367.0)

It's an NVRAM issue, you need to clear it.  You need to use a clear 1300 unless you update the bios to version 2000, then you could use 1810 if you wished, but 1300 will always work.

Hello and thank you Rick for your answer.

I'm going to take the 2 clears for more peace of mind.

I will keep you informed when I clear these machine, I am totally neebie with the WMS slot :)
The advantage is that the menu structure is similar to the Bally Alpha S9000.
