Hi everyone. I picked up a bally 5500 as part of a package deal with 2 other machines. I'm not big into Bally, and I'm remembering why. Bally hates me. I finally got some leave-ins, and cleared the machine. Bill Validator lights up. I put $20 in, and it gave me credits, but then the bill validator light went off. Can't put any more bills in. The machine had a 5500 manual in the cabinet, and I looked up BV settings. Followed what it said, reinstalled, cleared the machine using the j10 pins, and BV came to life again. Put in $20. Gave me credits. Light goes back out. Can't put any more bills in, unless I clear the machine. I tried various settings, but no luck.
The best I got was one bill in, and then my BV shuts down until I clear the machine. Any ideas where I should go from there?
