Replace a small aluminum electrolytic, 10UF@16VDC . This cured washed out screen. I also used an ESR meter to find borderline other ones. Cornell Dubilier part number for the 10UF @25VDC is AFK106M25B12B-F, available from Allied or Mouser

Thanks, I have 4 - 5 washed out. I'm gona give that a try this weekend.

Montech,

I'm guessing the cap is on the backplane and not on the LCD Assy as everything on the LCD is micro tiny. ??

Never-mind, I found them. ordered 10 of all of them from Mouser. They are too cheap to not have some on hand.
