Title: CC-62 cleaning?

 How do I go about cleaning this version of comparitor?  Does it have optics?  I read on the coin mech website that the MC – 62 replaces this version. Is that a more reliable version?

Nope, no optics.  I opened the two halves, wiped everything down and re-assembled.  Turns out the issue was my settings were wrong on my Game Maker.  Should have been set to "Coin Acceptor" only, NOT "Coin and COD board".
