Post by: Matt C on October 23, 2015, 12:16:13 PM
Hi I just have a couple of hopefully easy questions for you guys, First I have a meter cut check wire message ? My first machine I have no clue. And second there are not one but THREE brass keys on the side ,again no clue assuming one is reset . But failing to do anything, the guy I bought it from said the keys have to be turned in some kinda sequence.?? Please if there is anyone out there that can help it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks again

Hi Matt, to help you out we will need to know what type machine you have. What manufacturer? What platform from said manufacturer? If you don't know then post pictures of the outside front, inside with the door open and handle side where the manufacturers plate usually is. We'll go from there...

That's not an S2000.  Maybe an early S+ or S.

that's a Sigma machine,  the three key functions are,  closest to the front, is the reset, next is the meter lamp, last one is the last game played.  to get rid of the meters error, turn the first keyswitch one time, if there are no other errors the machine should come back to life.

Here's a quote for the manual-

Message-
Meter Cut Check Wires

Description-
one or more of the mechanical meters is disconnected or malfunctioning.

Fix-
confirm all connetors are firmly fastened to the meter assembly.
OR
check for broken or fryed wires
OR
verify there is 12 volts at the distribution PCB location CN25 pin 7.

I'll go look at my machine and see where CN25 is at for ya
