Hello! Is the battery in a SIGMA Treasure Wheel soldered to the board? I could not, with gentle pressure, slide the battery out. The contact appears to be soldered to the top of the battery?

I don't have that machine
Flip the board and look and see if you can tell if there are leads soldered that would match up with the battery position. It looks to me as though it is welded to that 'contact'
I would recommend replacing all the aluminum electrolytic capacitors.

I did not fully remove the board to check the underside. I’ll take a look and share my progress.
Replacing the caps sounds like good advice. Do you replace those with like parts, or is there an upgrade I should consider?

I have those in my parts bin, so this would be an easy upgrade for me.
Would there be an advantage to using a two cell AA holder instead, to ensure that there is always current during a battery change? My Bally machine had this upgrade made to spare the need for RAM chip resets. Would this wisdom apply to SIGMA machines as well, or is the RAM reset done with the key?

Hopefully you can remove that battery and install a battery holder or at least get a battery with leads that you can solder in place of the one that is there. You can't solder leads on a battery.
When replacing the caps - replace with the same uF value, if they are a strange value you can replace with closest value up or down. Replace with a voltage rating the same or higher - physical size is the other thing to watch out for, most caps today are smaller and vary in size from manufacturer sometimes. Just measure the size of the one you are replacing and get one that will fit, or the same size. Try to get caps rated at 105 degrees c not 85 degrees c.
I am repairing power supplies and I have many capacitors if you just want a few to do the board instead of ordering many or try to order just what you need. I can put a kit together if you send me a PM with the uF values - voltages and sizes. The caps are inexpensive but the shipping is what costs. I more than reasonable on the caps.
