SIGMA HR-IM I2211 issues
« on: September 15, 2020, 12:31:07 PM »
Looking at a SIGMA Model HR-IM   Model no. I2211 Joker's Wild machine.  Is anyone still on here?  I'd like to find a manual and parts catalog or something?

Issue with it.  Turns on but screen is black. Unknown issue, any normal issues on these that would cause that?

Couple things, I will get the manual for you but it will probably be tomorrow as I am headed to work right now, can you hear the high pitched whine of crt high voltage, if not shut off the machine after it has been on for like a minute does the screen flash when shutting it off, if so your monitor if working fine. Do you hear the binging of the game when you first turn it on, if not check the power supplies at the top of the cabinet. One should be 5volts, this powers the game board. The other supply is 12volts, this is just for the buttons and light bulbs, the game should still work without this one but you won't be able to press the buttons.

Great I appreciate it.

Machine turns on by lighting up and makes a sound.

Screen does light up a little bit, but still no image.  Screen is just slightly light but still black.  not sure about if the screen is making sounds.  I am considering buying it and this is what I was able to find out when testing it.

Also worth notting.  There are no keys but the machine is fully unlocked.  Going to be an issue?

Keys shouldn't be a problem. I would try one of these converters with a VGA monitor it could be a bad monitor as they do fail often.

It might not just plug right in, if you have any experience with at ace monitor you should be able to figure it out though, basically just match the wire colors.
Thanks,
Justin

Sounds good.  I have a good amount of experience with pay phones, pinball machines, typewriters, cars and other stuff.  So, although this is my first machine of this type.  Ready to give it a go.  If the colors match what is in the game, that will make it a whole lot easier.  I'll find out soon.
