Post by: rarestamx on February 24, 2023, 02:42:03 PM
Have any of you replaced, The two 11in fluorescent light tubes with new. Led would be great but just need new tubes. A part number would be great, Nothing on ones I have, Burned off I guess. Any help would be great. Thanks.

I just bought two of them at www.replacementlightbulbs.com (http://www.replacementlightbulbs.com) in High Point NC. 336-882-2852 "Ron" The cost was $3.00 each but shipping was pricey.
They measure 11-3/16 excluding pins and 11-3/4 including pins. Mine were a very tight fit and not much room to get my hand in there to rotate the bulb into place.

One broke as I was twisting it and cut my finger. The other one fit tight but did light when I powdered up. However, it went out a very short time later. It did re-light again when powered up, so the bulb is not burned out but the ballast is probably shot.

I'm not sure what the ballast reads, hard to get to it. So no replacement yet. Maybe someone will have the ballast info for me and I can search for a pair. ???
I'm still trying to find a manual for repairs and parts. No luck so far.

Good luck with your bulb issue and be careful twisting the bulb to seat it.

Is it a ballast or a starter ?

A starter looks like a small can .... or a large capacitor.
You push in and twist to remove it.
This is what S+ and many others use.
You can get them at HomeDepot or Lowes very common.

I did not see a starter anywhere. I can't read the writing on the ballast. Too close to the top screen box.

Update:
I used a dental mirror and was able to see the writing on the side of the ballast.
It's the same ballast as the tube in the belly door uses.
It reads...
IGT 195 076 90 Rev. CI.
Electronic DC Ballast
TT18000
EB15DC25A
With Polymer Fuse
For F15T8 lamps.

I searched the web for some today and almost all of the pieces I can find are "Used". I don't want to chance that. They fit into a space that's so narrow, it's hard to get to. I sure don't want to do this twice..

I'm considering going to the LED lamps that I saw on this forum that do not require a ballast at all.
Should be a lot easier.

If someone has replacement ballasts (I need two) please let me know. Easier to make a decision when I have all the options available up front.

Thanks
