Thank you, the issue I am having is the upper touch screen will not communicate. It just says no input found. It was working fine and when I replaced the NVRam Batteries I began getting the error. If I disconnect or power off the processor, the reels will spin but the minute I turn it back on, it stops.

After replacing the batteries you must clear machine and re-setup everything.

I have tried to do that but I cannot get the screen to communicate at all to be able to do that.

Check the video cable.  Is the green light lit on the MPU?

Yes, the green light lights up on the MPU

The reels starting stopping on power on is normal...

Do you have a video card in your machine? Its the area where there are two VGA connections. If you have a Video card in your machine, remove it and connect your VGA cable directly into the MPU VGA port. Post a pic of the front of the MPU if you can.

Can you clarify if you are having issue with the TOUCH or DISPLAY? Can you see anything on the screen or can you see something on the screen, but the touch wont work?

If you having a touch issue, make sure the serial cables are firmly connected to the monitor. If this was working before, maybe the cable got loose. Also replace the cable if that doesnt work.

If you are getting no picture, at this point maybe the MPU is bad. Try replacing the cable. Also, if you have a laptop, connect the VGA from the laptop to the monitor to see if you can get a picture. If the laptop works, than the MPU may have gone.

Oh one other thing, If you replaced the batteries in the MPU, when you push the MPU back in, make sure its in all the way. Also try taking it out and pushing it firmly back in. Might not be the issue, but its a trouble shooting process for me.

The touch screen just says no input found when it powers on. I will try to connect it to a laptop and see if that does anything.

I have tried pushing the MPU back in all the way a few times. It’s definitely in all the way.

Okay, I just tried connecting the VGA from the touch screen to my laptop and that worked. Also tried replacing a VGA cable to the MPU and that did not work. So does that isolate it to the MPU bad even though in the picture I attached, the lights are lighting up on the MPU?

I would replace the MPU. Also make sure your batteries are snug and the correct ones. If that’s all good just get another MPU. Alpha 1 mouse shouldn’t be that expensive these days. The one you have is the first gen with the 7segment display on it. The newest ones didn’t have this.

Update: I replaced the MPU and everything was working fine.

Fast forward to now: We lost power at our house and after the power came back on and I powered the machine back on, the Screen wouldn’t turn on again. It would just say no signal input like before so I assumed the MPU fried out again. I ordered a new MPU and installed it. And still nothing, just said no signal input on the screen. I connected an external monitor via VGA and reboot the MPU and the external monitor worked. I performed a ram clear but now I am getting this fatal error. Still, the touchscreen does not work but even with the external monitor I cannot get past this Fatal Error when trying to boot up.

I switched the Bios Chip and Jurisdiction Chip from the old MPU.

Any ideas?

Start from scratch.
Turn OFF power.
Replace all batteries.
Clear machine.
Re-install game software
Set all machine and game options back.

Okay I am making progress…

I was able to get the Ram Cleared and game to power up and get to the set ups but ONLY on an external monitor, not on the touch screen.

The touchscreen itself has feedback when I touch the screen but no display. I have tested a different VGA cable including the one that works on the external monitor but that did not solve it.

Does this mean the touchscreen needs to be replaced? What is weird it the touchscreen powers on and will display No Signal input but will not display the game.

The LCD TS, from the monitor back to the computer...does it use a VGA, or a DVI-I harness?

Nevermind...Your monitor use VGA.

Touchscreens are a separate panel from the LCD panel....they are just over-lapped on top of each other - separated by a thin rubber adhesive strip along the edges.
The touchscreen glass itself could be good, but the LCD screen underneath it, can be dead.

What are the last text coming up on the external monitor screen?
The photo in Reply #14?
Maybe that can help solve this?
That photo is saying there's something wrog with the boot file and gives a fatal fault.
Someone that plays with these might know what that fault means.

That’s what I am thinking. What’s weird is that the screen clearly powers on to display No signal Input but will not display the game.

Any idea where to get a new LCD Screen for the Alpha S9000?

Also is it hard to reattach the Touchscreen to the new LCD screen? Would I be better off buying it all as one?

You need to buy correct 20" monitor with a touchscreen.  Removing a ts is not easy, well easy to cut yourself, that's about it.  Still might be other problems like psu or os card.  Be nice if you had another psu, monitor or os card to swap.
