Title: G20 diagnostic error

Is there a different diagnostic used for the g20? I am trying to use a 14-21 and getting this error. The diagnostic works fine in my g23 but cant get it to work in the g20. Thanks in advance

What OS version is in you g20?

That is a pretty old OS/Bios combo.  Compare that with your G23 versions.

Try 14-09 Diagnostic with that OS.

Thanks for the replys i just picked up the machine and was told its been sitting for a while thats probaly why the old os. I will place a wtb for a 14-09 and give that a shot. Is there a way to wipe the hd without the diagnostic? My plan was to load a newer os and boot chips anyway.

You can just boot with ekey 7 and newer os to overwrite old os, then boot diagnostic with ekey and wipe.  Or you could take hard drive out and put in a pc usb enclosure and wipe the drive there.
