Title: Williams 400 Stampede B/V Problem
Post by: keystone9 on January 16, 2022, 04:14:45 PM
I have a Williams 400 Stampede with a problem I can't track down. When I try to use the B/V the bill will be taken but then the game will reset like when powering up. I have tried two DBV 200 heads with the same result. First I calibrated both heads, yes I have the paper, with no luck. Please help. Bill

To me it sounds like it points to the power supply.  The BV and the stacker (especially the stacker!) when in motion actually suck quite a bit of power from the overall system, it may be lowering the voltage to cause a reset on the CPU board.  Do you have a spare power supply to see if that changes anything?

I put a brand new power supply in the cabinet if that's the one your talking about. Bill

It is the CPU.  If the BV accepts the bills and puts them in the cash can, but credits do not appear, it probably is a CPU issue.  I have had the same problem and the CPU has been the main culprit. You need to clear the machine and get a tested CPU board to install, in my opinion.
