Title: IGT G23 no signal power off
Post by: Ckorpics on August 25, 2022, 09:29:16 AM
Originally had board monitor tilt VBAT out of acceptable range, by the time I received my ekey 7 and diagnostic key now when I turn on the machine has no signal power off displayed on the monitor then goes off and screen is blank. Anyone have any suggestions?

Since you now have an eKey and Diag, I would suggest you try to boot from there first.

Also check your Main Power Supply and if you're using a Brainbox with the External Power Supply, check it as well. If it's internally Powered, check your 2 Cable Connections at the Backplane.

Now would also be a good time to check/change all of your Batteries.

There is a battery on the MPU board, two on the PCI card, and the 3 pack telltale.

No, that is the cabinet controller (aka Blackfin board).  The rechargeable battery pack on it is the telltale battery.  If it is low you will get a tilt message on the screen telling you that once you get thr machine to boot up.  The PCI board is the one the gray ribbon connects to inside the MPU (aka brainbox).  You have to disconnect the cables, remove the MPU from the cabinet, and then remove the top cover to get at it.  You'll see two coin cell batteries in holders on the board.  They should read 3v or higher.
