I have the Diagnosistic14-21-001.vhd file on a HD. I loaded it onto a 32gb flash drive from a win 7 machine. Put it in my G23 with an ekey. Keep getting this message "storage authentication failed system will retry in 10 seconds" just keeps looping. Can someone tell me what I'm doing wrong?

VHD files are a "Virtual Hard Disk" image.

You have to use a program that will recognize a VHD file and use that program to restore the vhd file on to a drive.

Is that what you did?

Thanks for the response. I just copied the file to the flash drive. The file ext did look weird. Where do I get the program to restore that?

Do not make or incert any slot related diagnostic drives or cf cards into a windows computer newer than windows 7.
