Title: Trouble installing reel strips?

I got new reels and strips from Spin Inc. I can't seem to get the strips on the reels without wrinkles on them. Is it the reels or the strips? Never had them want to wrinkle on me before. Frustrating. Everything looks new and never used. Thanks.

I just compared the new strips to some old strips and the new ones are just a shade wider. Why is this, what would you guys do? I could try trimming them but worried about ruining them. Thanks.

My reels are backlit and the strips are not ,is that my problem?

Yes, the non backlit strips are about 1/32" wider. You can trim them very carefully (not too much) or use non backlit reels.

Thanks Ron, I had some non-lit reels and got them installed. Next question I'm trying to set up 5 line Double RED White and Blue, Does 5 line take different strips than 3 line? Line pays aren't making sense. Thanks, KAD

OMG, multi line RWB strips are a nightmare. There are different strips for different SS chips and good luck finding the correct SB. It's best to use a SB001000 and match the appropriate SS chip using the S plus bible. What are the strip numbers? There are ABC sets, ABD sets for 5 lines. I haven't even compared them to the 3 line sets.

I guess I did not research enough. I have an SB100070 chip installed. Strips are 848-190-00, 848-191-00, 848-192-00.

Your base chip should be fine if the strips are correct.. I missed the "Double". The strips you have are not line strips. See pic.

Do you think the ones in the pic are the correct ones. Any numbers? I wonder if Sunkist graphics would have info. Will advertise in the classifieds. Thanks Ron, KAD

Yes, I believe they are correct. I do not have the strips. It's an old picture. I can't make out the numbers.

Ron, Spin has those strips. I had ordered the ones listed in master strip list from this site. I'll be paying too much, but live and learn. I'll let you know if they work out. A G23 is looking better every day.Thanks, KAD

Ron , I got the strips you recommended and they did the trick. Got The Double Red White and Blue 5 coin , 5 line going. Thanks again, KAD.
