Title: BB1.5 top boxes

I recently bought and installed a NXT2 CPU for my BB1 chop top.  I then placed a computer monitor on top, and it does work but the viewing angle is horrible and the candle gets in the way.  I was wondering what types of top boxes were made for BB1.5 games, as I've seen videos of people playing games (Lord of the Rings to be specific) in a casino which had the 4:3 lower screen and a 6:9 in the top box.  I thought BB1.5 all had dual 4:3 screens, so I was curious if the games in the videos are using a BB2 top box or if it was some variant between BB1.5 and BB2. 

I'm guessing it wouldn't be easy or cheap to get a top box with monitor for my game no matter what type but I'd at least like to know what types would fit.  In the mean time, how does the darn candle come off?  It seems to me that the whole top chrome piece needs to be removed to access the bolts.

You can remove the chrome front Crown by pulling the screws on the sides. Then it tilts back and slides out and up.  Then you can slide a monitor in the grooves of the upright portion.  Your new top monitor might/might not fit but that's the cleanest way to do it.

Brilliant idea!  I'll pick up a used NEC E223W monitor off ebay, as that's what folks haved used for BB1 to BB2 conversions.  Hopefully that'll fit.
It looks like it will from the monitor measurements online and they're not too expensive.

Not sure where he got it. But the previous owner added this top box to mine, ...factory top with factory monitor. He said it was new in the box. I didn't ask where he got it. I still have the old top w/ glass (Lucky Lemmings).

You should take that monitor you have on top (looks great!)...and take the stand off, then velcro it to the front of the machine where the glass would be. Use 3M velcro. It will peel right off later., no residue.  Clean the monitior back with rubbing alchohol and wipe off the silver before you stick the velcro.  It will look totaly natural.

Looks OK from the front, a little sketchy from the side but it works and was cheap.
