So thanks to a lot of people here I’ve been able to fix my igt s2000 slant top. However it still does not make any sound. I didn’t see any posts about this. I first checked the sound settings and they are all turned up. I was told by the previous owner everything worked until some kids messed with it. So I’m guessing the kids unplugged a cord somewhere. Would anyone know where to look on the machine? Any help is appreciated.

Check the J19 connection on the motherboard. Open the top box to access the amp, L/R speakers and other wiring. That's covers everything except the sub assuming it's not a processor board problem.

The j19 connection was fine. I have no idea how to open the top box. I see no latch or anything. All there was was this little metal rod on top.

It's either a cable or a pin that releases the top box door. Can't remember exactly. You should be able to locate it with the main door opened.

So I was able to get the top open thanks to your help. Now Everything seemed to be plugged in correctly. Still I unplugged and replugged it all back in. Still no sound. Checked the sound settings again. They are set to 5 and 10. Got the bell working. That was loud lol. But still not sure what the problem could be.

Check the MPU connectors for bent or broken pins. If you have another one try it. Could be a bad chip at U66. Other than that inspect all speaker wires to be sure there's not a bare spot that is grounding out.

Finally found time to take a deep look at the sound. All the cords sent just fine. MPU connectors seem fine. Struggling to find U66 on the motherboard. U66 also looks fine. I don’t have any equipment currently to test if something’s wrong with it or necessarily how to go about doing that. So I’m at a bit of a stump on this.

It doesn't have to look bad to be bad. Try the board in another machine to see if it has sound. If not, then it's a pretty safe bet that it's bad. I have had to replace a few of them. Either YM2413 or YM2413B will work.
