Title: AVP stuck switch board issue
Post by: grssslotrepair on December 18, 2023, 06:26:26 AM
Ok avp experts, I have a pulsing cash out switch and lamp. Lamp and switch inputs at board disconnected. So hoping for more than someone saying I need a new board. I am board level tech. I will be trying to find schematic but was wondering if anything else has ever caused this? Software? I did not try reset. Thanks in advance

There's quite a few different models of AVP machines, so saying you have an one doesn't really help much.  Kinda like saying I have a car.....

You may be a component level tech, but without schematics it's like driving that car without a map trying to make it to your destination.  I have never seen any AVP schematics, just wiring diagrams.  I've been told that IGT didn't release schematics for them, but that may or may not be accurate.  If you find some let us know.

That's probably the best thing to do.  You may be able to trace it back some from the connector onto the board, but if you have to go back more than a couple of components it gets difficult.  Especially if it's a multi-layer board.  Doing that is time consuming and time is money as they say.

If you are looking for schematics,  I recommend posting a picture of the board and the model number on the board. This helps people search through thousands of files.

Thanks,
Wayne
