Title: S-2k problem

This is for a friend which is not a member here and I can't remember the resolve.  Has a reg. s-2k 3-reel with enhanced board.  had not turned on in 3 months but worked fine before.  errors are-bill valid. stacker open -open door mb.  Has a mei in it-all has been checked. Think it may have battery issues or mpu issue,possibly door opto issues.  I work so much on the new stuff here lately and in the past my memory fails at times.  Thanks B.

Not sure about the Enhanced board. If it was a 500 series I would suspect the green varta battery leaked and ate the trace under it. All problems could still be with that battery. Have him check the voltage and/or leakage.

On the enhanced board I would suspect the green battery is dead from sitting. Leave the machine on for couple hours then cycle it to see if the problem goes away

Does the machine have a belly door that drops down to access the cash can without opening the door.

There is a small door switch on it that goes bad. Try cutting the wires and wire nutting them together.
