I have a IGT G20 that I'm trying to fix for a friend. I know nothing about these machines. it was playing great and he turned it off and the next time he turned it on he got no signal on both monitors. Any help as to where to start?

Thanks

Open the belly door and look at the computer. The PCI card (with the ribbon cable) has the diagnostic button and two red leds.  Turn the game on and see if an LED blinks.  If not:

Look on the backplane to see if you are getting your power rail LEDs
The DS1-X LEDs can show you if you are getting 3.3V 5V 12V etc.

Assuming they are there...

Be prepared with the EKEY........seven.?.?
have your game options ready.
carefully work out what today's date is and what time it is...

try replacing the CPU BIOS CR2032 battery as fast as possible.

On start you might have to contend with No Game Enabled and License Tilt (system clock is reset)  :duh:

I'm currently having the same issue. New brainbox, New power supply, New PDU, New backplane and still no luck.
When I put my brain box in a working machine all the green lights on the power rail light up but in the machine I need to put it in I get no power to cpu and all the lights except the one labeled "3.3VUSB" come on. If I solve it I'll post it here

If the mpu works on another cabinet, then I would look at the power harness that plugs into the mpu's power supply to make sure you are getting 12volts out of all the leads.
