Help! S2000 Barcrest triple double diamond deluxe with cheese...

Hey all, been a long time... Little background.

With my old S+ (s), i never needed to post as I was able to find my issue via search every time. Long time lurker i guess. My father got me into slot and pinball machines, and up until his passing a few years ago we had a decent collection. 3 S+, an S2000, and 7 pins from the early 70's. Well do to space constraints I'm down to the S2000 and 4 pins... and even the pins are in storage 3 states away! Excuse me if I'm rusty on my terminology, I have not had to work on one of these in 5+ years!  Anyway, on to the issue...

S2000, Barcrest, Triple Double Diamond Deluxe W/Cheese. Has been a great slot, and i have very little experience with it as this was one was my dads favorites and resided in his space. So every issue that came up was handled by him. Every basic mod has been done as far as i can see. All door switches are by passed, cash can included. Varta battery is long gone. i dont remember all the details, but the bill validator has been upgraded and something about a tito board is what I found in his awful, should have been a doctor, notes.

Ran great since his passing in 2018 (cant believe its been that long!) For sure got very little use for about a year before this issue came to... coincidence that it coincided with my divorce? 

Now I am getting Closure M, and Door open B. Search function here is not doing me any favors with the single letters. As far as i can tell, and i do need help with this... its a 500 series mpu. Possibly a modified 504? too much searching, but battery placement leads me to believe its the modified version of what ever 500 board that im failing to remember. Again im a bit rusty here and for sure a noob when it comes to the s2000. ive gone through basic connection checks, but could be missing something. Also, this issue came on kind of slowly. it would happen every once in a while, and clear itself. Then one day, it wouldn’t clear itself.

i know I'm missing things... so please fire away at my lack of information! I'm dizzy from searching...  Thanks all!!!

Door b is the bill acceptor door. 500 is just an older version of the 504 board. All 50x boards are prone to damage to the door traces if the varta(big green battery) starts leaking. I would make sure the bv door switch is bypassed or working and post a picture of your board around that battery.

Cleared the pm's. The whole one that was there. Im suspecting there is a post count i have to hit or something...

see link to pic of the board, and the spot where the varta used to be... Taking it into the light, i can now see that there appears to be a fried trace. So... next steps?

You have some trace damage but it looks very repairable.

Please elaborate. I’m no stranger to jumping a trace, but this is pretty tiny compared to what I’m experienced with! Gave contact cleaner a try to no avail.

I repair them under a microscope. I doubt I could do it without that. BTW... That trace is the detection side for the bill validator. You may have other damaged ones nearby tho.
