DBV-200 Flashed but not working

(1/1)

jonbbrew:
Hello all,

Not sure if this will end of being and actual bv issue or board issues. So after the board battery died, and was changed his BV wont work. It cycles up, powers up...red lights on, etc....I ran a set chip in case it somehow lost the settings due to the battery change, but still not pulling in bills. I then went ahead and cleared the board and ran a set chip and still nothing. The BV was flashed and was working.

I brought board and BV/Transport to try on my machine and still nothing....Where to go from here?

Stayouttadabunker:
Since you've tried it in another machine, that eliminates a "board issue".
How about the transport, did you swap that as well or just the head?
You tried that....
Hmm....do you hear a motor start to run as you stick the bill in at all?
Especially as the bill touches the front sensor.
I know there's tests using dipswitches....Jim is good with DBV's.
Show him this Topic....maybe he'll help you?

No does nothing

Stayouttadabunker:
What is your denomination set for?
Are you sure it's set?
Because if it isn't, the DBV won't work.

Also, do the bulbs in the bill bezel light up when you close the door?
Are they any good?

Just throwing stuff out there.
Check out the diagnostic flip sheets I attached to this Reply....there's DBV tests you can try...>>>

Brewchap:
This is a test that Jim shared with me. Hope that he don't mind me sharing.

"There is a self test for the 200 head, remove it from the transport, one screw on bottom front, flip over, all switches 1-10 should be down, switches 1-6!down, now flip Number 6 of the second bank to up, apply power using the machine power supply, flip 6!down, unit should cycle briefly , now insert bills into the unit , if working it will take them in and spit out the back.!warning, if the power is interrupted the test is over and you have to start over"
