Title: Blown resistor
Post by: MB75 on April 11, 2024, 02:53:01 AM
Hi, a friend reached out to me with the question to repair his Bally S6000 board

A resistor is blown as seen on the picture.

Is this a common issue and only a faulty resistor or could there be something else going on ?

Thanks for tips and help.

BTW looking for the specs as well.

I have never worked on a Bally 6000 however the color code appears to be Brown Green Brown so 150 ohms,
it also looks more like battery leakage than a burnt resistor so I would measure it and see what the value is
and if it reads 150 ohms or close then the problem lies elsewhere.
