Just purchased a zero clear chip for my VLC 8825 machine. Cleared my VLC yesterday installed new batteries and bingo its working fine. It was like finding a tiny gold bar in a hay stack. Purchased it from a dealer at the Pheasant Run show in Chicago. Never say never!! This chip will only clear 010 program. I was informed that there was other programs such as 004 or 011. I do not know how many there were. I had a 004 program on my VLC but when I tried to clear it read error, so I installed a 010 program on my board and it worked perfect. Any other suggestions or helpful would be greatly appreciated.

Great find.. :applause: Those VLC clear chips are very rare and hard to find.. I've been offered many VLC machines over the past years, but stayed away from them just for that reason, you need a clear chip to get them working once the battery's been changed.

Wow, those chips are nearly impossible to find. Do not try to copy it -- from everything I've heard, they have some kind of a "fuse" in them that causes the chip to self-destruct if you try to make a copy of it. I don't know how that works or if it's an old wive's tale, but I've heard it repeatedly about those chips.
