Title: SMI9039 in for repair
Post by: Badbaud on October 13, 2016, 09:02:08 PM
Got this 6000 board into the shop. What a mess. The battery was two AA holders, one taped to the front of the frame, the other, in series on the board. One leg soldered to the + in where the battery normally connects and another wire wrapped around a ground screw. Also found U18 in U20's socket and U20 in U18's socket.

I soldered in the correct battery and tried to clear the board and it would not clear. Put in our test U18 and 20 and the board cleared and came up and played and paid took U18 and U20 and read them into the EPROM reader then verity - they would load into the buffer but both chips gave me a verify error.

The SMI on the chips is 9039, does anyone have those bins so I can see if I can get the board to work?
