Title: IGT PE+ Coin Comparitor Issue
Post by: carrac on March 17, 2020, 12:10:31 PM
I tried putting coins in my poker machine but it didn't drop down. I looked inside the door and saw the thing that says "Slide To Replace Coin". I moved this to the right and the coin that i put in finally dropped. Is this thing supposed to move mechanically by itself or is there something else I should look at to fix it? Or does the IGT PE+ only use specific coins?

You need a sample coin in there for comparison. Otherwise nothing will drop through.

Okay thanks for the help. Can I use a metal token if i don't want to use actually money in my machine? And will it only take the same coin that im using for a comparison or will it take other coins too?

You can use tokens. The sample coin/token must match.

If this was a quarter machine, you must use tokens that are close to quarter size or they may not dispense properly from the hopper.

The Pashilo tokens are .944 and pretty close to a quarter size. I have about 10,000 that I use in my 3 slots and PE+ poker.
I also have a coin rolling machine that I use to fill shotgun wrappers with my casino name on it. They work great with the upright machines with quarter hoppers but they do not work with the slant top machines with the coin elevators. They jam pretty quick.

I also have a pinball machine. The token will go in but its not close enough to a quarter in weight and the mechanical mech rejects it.

The other thing to note about Pashilo tokens is that the metal content varies from manufacturer to manufacturer. So if you pick up 1000 from one vendor and later buy 1000 from another there is a good chance that the second batch will be rejected by a comparitor that has a coin from the second batch. So you might just want to buy a bunch the first time out.

There is a sensitivity adjustment on the comparitor that you can loosen that allows greater acceptance. I finally found a batch that seems like it is close enough to all the other batches that I can sort of use it as my universal token. It was because I was buying in batches as my machines inventory grew that I ended up with so many tokens.
