Title: Top Screen Ratio
Post by: Delma on April 04, 2021, 08:37:11 PM
Interesting in knowing how to fix the ratio on this top screen for my BB2 machine. I have other BB2 machines that display perfectly and I'm not really sure why this one doesn't. Maybe just a simple VGA swap? Get into settings somehow and change aspect ratio? Not sure what I need to do but if anyone does please reply. It'd be nice to actually see the Game title displays like its supposed to be.

Games in pics
Kronos
Zeus III
Buffalo Spirit- incorrectly displayed

............I promise the pics are vertical on my computer........... :Scratch-Head:

Fixed!

The bottom machine is not a BB2 cabinet.  It is a converted BB1, my guess is that the top monitor used in the conversion does not have compatible timings to display the image properly.  It needs to be a monitor that can display 1680x1024.

Thanks Rick. Found an old post of yours that I printed and saved explaining the differences between bb1 bb1.5 bb2 bb3 and blade that helped me figure that out. Reading old posts on the forum has certainly helped out a lot. That being said brings me to the next issue.

Does anyone know how to actually get to that top monitor as I do have a 1680x1024 screen handy. Have only ever changed and swapped button panels, CPU’s and the lower screen on these machines. I’ve never dabbled into the top one. On some of the bb2 machines I have the framing at the too just slides out vertically, fairly simple. On the others and this one in particular when trying to slide up it only moves a little bit and gets caught on something? Been locking for a release lever or something of sort to no avail. Searched for screws or bolts that could be holding this piece in place and found nothin. If I find a solution I’ll post it in case anyone else runs into it.

Don't really "slide up"...It's more like keep pressing and holding onto the tabs inside and "squeezing together while lifting up towards you" will get that chrome piece off.

Ahhhhh ok......Appears I’m just doing it wrong. I’ll give this method a shot.

Thanks Stayouttadabunker that helped me get to the top screen no problem. Slides right out. I'll try this screen on that machine. Thanks for the help.  :applause:

It did for me. The screen was my issue. Once I replaced with the proper screen the resolution problem went away.

You started a separate topic about this with responses from us.  It's the monitor causing your problems.
