G20 edge lit buttons just stopped loading this is all they will do and won't function

Try reseating the usb cable that goes from the interface board at the button panel to the controller in the cabinet.  Power down first, then unplug and plug it back in on both ends, turn power back on.

Your blackfin board might be bad (it's the board where the HDMI cable from the player panel connects to.  Since the error says USB comm failure, it means the blackfin board is not communicating with a USB host.  Try plugging the usb cable directly to one of the USB ports on the mpu.  If that still doesn't work, I would try to source a blackfin board to test that out, just make sure you have the correct firmware on it for the edgelit buttons.
