Hello, I tried removing games from my G23 for the first time and received this message “protocol that contains legacy meter changes has rejected game removal” ???
-
From Morspeed in 2017
It is weird that you can't load games with the tito enabled because I have no problems with it. There may be a setting somewhere that need to be changed. Try this:
Machine Setup Requirements to allow theme installation and removal using Package Management:
1. Navigate to Setup>Communication>Protocol> G2S>G2S must be Disabled (Protocol Enabled - NO) Package Management option will not be shown on the menus if G2S is Enabled.
2. Navigate to Setup>Communication>Protocol> G2S and set Protocol that controls Legacy Meter Change setting to NOT REQUIRED
-
Also disable games you are going to remove before removing.
-
Thank you very much Rodney, Mark I will check back in with you guys when I get home.
-
Also your NVRAM usage is very low. Why remove games? You could just disable.
-
Worked perfectly thank you for your time and the info. The only issue I need to resolve now is getting the machine to recognize the bv. I’m thinking that just might be a setting issue as well. I’m getting a bv offline ID:0 message. I have tried switching usb cables, switching hubs, swapped heads and cash cans no change.

Games use up NVram even when not enabled.
-
On the BV have you tried a different USB port on the machine side? Too many USBs plugged in at one time can cause issues too. From comments made in other threads about this and this machine I think it just might not be the correctly programmed BV. Does it ever cycle? Is it getting power?

I know, but he has a lot of free space (would gain a little back by disabling them) And I just personally wouldn't remove them if my NVRAM was below 40%. It was just a suggestion.

Yes Rodney it is getting power and it cycles, I just get a steady blinking green light. I’m thinking it’s either the interface board or the bv head needs to be flashed. I bought this machine recently so I have never seen this bv operational . I did just receive a dongle farm that I am installing at the moment, just hoping this might solve the problem. We shall see.
-
Is the other BV cable plugged in right under the usb cable under the printer?
-
No Mark
-
Plug it in, here's a pic:
-
I’m sorry Mark yes that one is plugged in. I thought you were talking about the 2 pin connector coming out of the back of the bv. That one is not connected.
-
My 2 pin is connected.
-
Do you have a Mei?
-
yes. I guess the BV bezel light goes thru the 2 pin.
-
A working mei head from a S2000/game king will work. Insert tito tickets upside down.
-
I connected the 2 pin that was unplugged started up the machine and now I’m getting a “S” spare door is open? No idea what that is?
-
S or s? Capital S is stacker door.
-
Okay figured out the S door that was the cage protecting the backplane installed a Mei bv head sc6602 from a working s2000 and still get the bv offline error switched hubs with a known working hub and same thing .
-
Once I put the cage back in the light went away
-
Well I installed a.new interface board on the bill validator and no change. Is there something I can do in diagnostics that might help me locate the problem? I can’t do any tests on the bv because the machine doesn’t recognize it.
-
You must have something set wrong.
-
Here are my settings, sorry for the crappy pictures, I cracked the lens of the camera on my phone.
-
Scroll down on that last pic of screen.
-
Scrolled down
-
Looks like photo of scroll down didn't post? Maybe I am missing something?
-
Scrolled down. Yah I don’t know what’s going on, there doesn’t appear to be anything wrong with the bv. It flashes green like it’s ready and I can take the head and place it in my S2000 and it works just fine. I believe my settings are correct. I am currently using tito@home to play with credits and it works just fine. I would like to try connecting the dongle farm I purchased but I don’t know where the wire is to power it up on a G23 with a 625 brain box. I had read on delphi forums that on some G23’s they had problems with printers and bv’s going offline and installing a dongle farm solved the problem.

That is not the last page you posted. PM sent
-
Yes mark that is the last page. Setup/cash handling/devices/bill validator setup
-
Success at last!!! After sending the Mei interface board and bv head to Ellary Gaming, the good people there tested the parts and installed the firmware needed for my bv to run in a G23. Thank you to Ellary Gaming and everyone here who took the time to respond to my post, much appreciated

Glad you got everything working! :cool_thumb_up: :applause:
