Title: Slot Stand Build
Post by: Oceanjake on January 03, 2023, 05:54:56 PM
Hey all,  I'm new to the forum and to slots in general but I've gotten the bug pretty quickly.  Bought one as a christmas gift for the wife,  a second less than a week later for myself,  and a third is on order from a member here.

The first slot came with a black lacquer stand from a casino but since I'm unable to locate matching ones quickly I opted to buy some metal and get to welding.  Posting pics here just for ideas if anyone wants an alternative solution.    The single box is 28x22x22.   The double is 54x22x22.  Both have a 2" lip and an 1/8" aluminum top.  The main tubes are 2" square.  Some of the deck supports are 3/4" square.   All of the shrouding is stainless steel  5-bar or diamond plate.  Fun project and not too difficult assuming you have a fixture table to ensure a perfectly flat base and top.

Start to finish was about 15 hours for the pair,  accompanied by good (to me) music and bourbon on NYE.

Nice job! I just got done with my slot stand project. I went natural with wood from an old hog barn. The 7's are back lit with LED's.
