Title: Help with model ID
Post by: xcopy on November 01, 2014, 11:29:48 AM
Im trying to figure out what the series is of a machine that I'm considering.  I have not been able to look at it in person yet but I believe its a Bally 6000.  He said there no indication on the tag other than a Model number S62B3R6G0.  Searching I can not find any reference of  model numbers.  Im thinking it might be a 6000 as I found one posting stating those had the BV in the button deck and that's how this one is set up.  Hopefully someone can confirm by the model number.  Before purchasing it I would just like to know how readily available parts/cost and how much info ETC. there is on it out there.
Thanks

Look something like this? Top box sizes may vary between the 2 shown or also a Round Top cabinet.

Then it IS a Bally 60000. Parts are available. Cost isn't too bad, may e $80-100 for MPU, which is most expensive part? If game is working and you like it, you're fine buying it. They are only "2nd place" to the IGT machines of the same time frame, but then, there only was really 2 contenders, so "2nd", isn't bad at all!  :cool_thumb_up:
