Title: Sticky Zero Switch armature/stop
Post by: DavidLee on May 19, 2015, 04:21:20 PM
Spent a couple of hours get the 1088 to pay out every time and resetting the winner paid meter.
Found the problem on the zero switch armature and rubber bumper stop.
The bumper has turned to goo and it was sticking to the armature keeping the winner paid from resetting and intermittent payouts.
If you're have problems with the winner payout counter not resetting this might solve the problem.
Manually work the coin counter step up unit to a high payout, then release it back, then advance the step up a few times
to see if the armature is stuck to the bumper stop.
Hope this might help someone out there.
Tomorrow I'll will be making a new rubber bumper stop.

Very common problem with the EM Bally slot machines. Most people swap out the bumper with a pencil eraser.. I've made my self new rubber bumpers.. The hardest thing I had to do was to drill a hole in the bottom of the bumper for the adjusting screw to sit in. Nice pictures and I'm sure they will come in handy for others.
