Sega Diamond Star 3
« on: October 17, 2019, 10:19:04 AM »
 Good morning All,
I have a Sage Diamond Star 3.
It's my first mechanical slot.
Info I have..  Came from a US base in England sometime in the 50's
It has electrical 220-250v for a couple of lights.
Seems to cycle, reels don't move much (dirty)
I'm in the process of stripping it down to clean. I'm pretty sure I can get that far.
A coworker has painted them in the past, so I'm good to go there.
My questions are.

How do I find out what kind of coins it uses?
Whom on the forum are the go to persons for Sega Machines?
Any info would be helpful.

Brett

Hi Brett
Well three years later I just noticed your post while cleaning up some posts here. It was in "welcome wagon" so likely that's why no one noticed. It should have been in "reel slots." With that said... did you figure this out?
I'd also recommend going to "coinopcollectorforum.com" where they are more tailored for mechanical slot machines.

Good afternoon Brett, most likely it will be a five pence or 25 pence machine. these are close to our nickel and quarter machines. Also the sega machines ,if memory serves, were built simlarly to mills slot machines. Some parts may be interchangeable. Good luck, The wizard.
