Realistic Price Range estimation
« on: March 10, 2022, 07:39:00 AM »
Hi together,

it would be great if you could give me a realistic price range for such a machine.

According the description from the seller it should be a rear example. Only 600 pc producedā€¦

Any recommendations or comments highly appreciated

Tom

Just want to say - That sure is a nice machine! I'd imagine its worth quite a bit.

It would be much better if you deleted those photos and added higher resolution shots.  Those are basically large thumbnail photos.
I will PM another member here and he'll have a look but he would have asked the same thing, so I'm beating him to it.
I LOVE those machines and, even from the small shots, looks to be in good shape. Some mechanical machines are repos's and we want to make sure this isn't the case, although this appears original.
What is the sellers asking price?

I agree with Short Track more photos of a higher resolution would be needed to give a more accurate value!
That is a Jennings Governor Sun Chief model and being from the Nevada Club/ Nevada Lodge Casinos with Lincoln "FITZ" Fitzgerald being the owner when it resided on the casino floor they do, depending on condition, seem to bring a little higher value!
There are buyers who love the old Reno/Tahoe casino history and that helps the value due to the more desirability of the slot machine!
Ciao!

Well,
being a quarter slot machine and having the casino open front design which allowed better access for the slot mechanic to service it, it does seem to look very clean!
The Open Front slots were usually mounted on a row of slot machines in a long cabinet base which the house "Take" would go into a bucket under the slot machine and the payout bowl for coin payouts would usually be mounted in the top of the cabinet so someone has designed a fitting lower cabinet with the payout bowl in the front which looks to be done pretty well!
In my opinion, and you know what they say about opinions, right, :Scratch-Head: but in my opinion being also what looks to be a casino machine that was in service at the Nevada Club/Nevada Lodge in either Reno or Crystal Bay on the North Shore of Lake Tahoe without knowing how it plays or having actual "hands on" to check it out I would estimate a value in today's market at between $1,800.00 to $2,400.00, value also depends on location of sale as values vary across the country!
I spend most of my day in the shop as I service and also sell parts for Bally E/M slot machines so if you want to talk further you can PM me or email me!
Bona Fortuna!
