ASTEROIDS 1979 Arcade

(1/1)

Hiram:
There was a local AUCTION !! (that's how it often starts right lol) - I won and now own my own Asteroids Arcade Game !! Moving it was not easy but , we got it in the House. After figuring out the kill switch on the coin door ...It Turned on and everything kinda works (contacts need cleaning) BUT , for some reason , the Asteroids themselves are not bright. The Spaceship is brighter and the Flying Saucers and Shots are very bright ..but you can barely see the Asteroids ...some even hit my spaceship without me seeing them . I went on line and found posts saying to put it in Test mode and adjust the X & Y trim pots on the game board so the pattern fits the screen ...I setup a mirror and tried it . That cleaned up the size problem . But not the dim asteroids.. I can still see the spaceships but , I can barely see the Asteroids ..I found the Brightness Trim Pot and that's cranked all the way to the right full ...but I can not find a Contrast Trim Pot anywhere. Does anyone have any tips or know where the Contrast control is ...or know what I can do to fix this ? Maybe this Vector B&W monitor is messed up ?
