Title: Bill Validator cycling
Post by: jay on February 21, 2023, 11:28:52 AM
Hi all,

I just moved to a new home and am in the process of rebuilding my basement casino.
So far I have torn out all the carpet, laid down the vinyl plank flooring and the place is starting to take shape.

The machines (3 S+ and a PE+) are all back on stands, fire up fine.

SO... I am busy on the other side of the room (building the bar) and my PE+ just stared cycling the bill validator (DBV200) - similar noise to that of the machine turning on. I went over turned the machine off / on. Came on and about 3-4 min later it started this again. I reseated the cash can and once again it started the cycling.  I reseated the head, again it started the cycling.

I eventually pulled the small square connector at the base of the head and its quiet.

Other than the move josling the bits about - I am not sure what else would cause this.
Given that I am in Canada and the DBV is USD based this is an adequate fix for now but am looking for what might be the root cause.

I think that connector you unplugged is the common problem.  Try wiggling it around and see if it turns on and off.

Thanks - I will play with it and report back.
