Title: Data in stock is wrong
Post by: ersk3 on March 08, 2017, 06:46:58 AM
I have a sigma b-52 joker's wild wideo poker machine. Every time I turn on the machine I get this message

When I so do a reset I can play the game, but next time I turn on the machine the same message appears. I could not find a battery on the main board.. Anyone know what the problem could be?

there were several types of storage devices used by Sigma,   one looked like a square black bridge rectifier,  and the other was a super cap, acted like a battery, has a very slow discharge rate,  both were located on the front of the board, just right of center.

Post a photo of the main logic circuit board (mpu/cpu board) and someone can point out the "battery". As Jim said the device used may not look like a traditional battery.

I might have the super cap? Here's a picture of my board, maybe someone can point it out? Where's Waldo?

locate the volume pot adjustment, (right hand side ,front)  go two chips to the left,  that circular blue/silver item is the super cap.

Thank you Jim, can I replace it with a normal 3,6v battery?
