Sigma PT-4B Slant Top help
« on: September 01, 2024, 04:48:17 PM »
Hello I have a double cherry Slant top I am trying to bring back to life. Few questions below

1) anyone have a manual for it? I am trying to figure out how to open the top of the machine. It won’t accept coins so I’m trying to get better access to the coin slot. There is several jammed coins.

(UPDATE - Manual Link https://newlifegames.com/nlg/index.php?topic=10539.0 )

2) anyone know the key code? None of my other keys work for this machine (I had to wire a on off switch to the reset key in order to clear ram).

I added a photo of the machine and will most likely have more questions as I progress in restoring it.

Update, to open the top there’s a release latch near the center.

Reset the coin comparator and it now accepts coins.

Had an error pop up that said “coin in no pulse” but that went away with a reset.

now I get a HPR timeout error when trying to cash out a win.

That's not an IGT slant top.  I think it may be a Sigma?  Look for a tag on the side and see what it says.

I couldn’t locate a tag. But I did some research and looks like your right! Thanks!

New update: removed hopper sprayed contacts with contact cleaner, removed all coins (there was a jam). Cleaned and wd40 the hopper. And now it ejects coins.

Next I need to fix the coin validator.

The money validator doesn’t seem to get any power. When inspecting the plugs I found this weird split plug. Is this normal? Or did someone switch it? Anyone know when one is suppose to be top/bottom? The tend to slide right off.

New update the machine is a Sigma PT-4B.

The manual can be found here https://newlifegames.com/nlg/index.php?topic=10539.0

Runaway error means The hopper is over paying. (But mine wasn't paying out)

The LED keep going out, I think a capacitor or something is going out.

Going to keep posting updates for future members who may experience these issues.
