Hi Everyone! I am wondering if I am missing something when I activate my bill validators. I have done 3 different S+ machines... and the outcome has been different on 2 of them. I went from working WBA11's to 12's to be able to accept current US currency. Anyway... here is the problem: On 2 of the three, when I insert bills, the credits are sent to the tray and not the credit meter. All three are set to automatically send winnings and accepted bills to the credit meter. And all three work fine except for this issue on 2 of the three. When I read the entry on activation, it said something about how on some machines the option to have winnings. etc sent to the meter has to be done when using the BV Activation chip... but it doesn't say how. Does anyone know what that missing step is during the activation? Or maybe another thing to do that I am missing? Thank you so much in advance!

I think you have to press the cashout button ( credit ) to switch from tray to credits on the s+ . Press it once and see if it changes. Press it again and retest.

Thats the first thing I tried... no luck. I have also made sure that in the setup (Using the JP key and reset button) that all winnings and credits from the BV are sent to the credit meter....

Which SP are on the machines?

One is a 1271 and the other is 1274

Sometimes the wiring to the cash out switch is different and causes the bills to coins issue. If that's the case then switching the wires or changing the 8-x setting should fix it.

Great info Ken! I thought it was the SP1271 causing the problem. I have a machine at my parents house that I have to set to (EDIT: 5_1 - 8_0). I will have to fix the button wiring next time I get over there. :applause: :dancing_2: :hail:

It is fixed!!! For some reason, I had to change the settings on the credit (Option 5 on setup) to 1, and option 8 to 0. That fixed it! YAY!!!!!!

Yep, you have a pair of cash/credit button wires reversed. I just came from my machine that did the same thing and it was set at 5_1 - 8_0 to keep bill val from being a change machine.
