Title: Bill Acceptor Failure

Hey guys,

Just got an issue with my IGT machine. It is a GU4.
It was all working fine until I booted it up yesterday and this error came up: BILL ACCEPTOR FAILURE - Bill acceptor mechanical failure please check bill acceptor hardware.
Can anyone point me in the right direction on how to fix this ?

Was it working before?
If so, re-seat the bill box.

Yes it was working before, I tried to re-seat the bill box but it continued to have the error.
I will try again tonight when I return home and let you know how I go.

Make sure the cash can door is closed - they often remove the locks so a small piece of electrical or duct tape will ensure its closed.
You might also remove your head and reseat it, but this likely is not the issue - just fast and easy to do.

Thanks Jay - I will try that tonight when I get home.
Its a JCM WBA 11-SS &  could see some black duct tape there but it looks a bit worn so I will give what you said to do and let you know if it fixes it.
