WBA SS-12 won't work in S2000

UPDATE: I forgot to disclose that I did not actually replace the battery yet, because it was a 2354, which I had to order. Turns out the bill collectors won't work until you clear your RAM Error (caused by low battey) My bad for not disclosing that right away. Battery arriving tomarrow. Should take care of this. Will update thread when I get it fixed.

FIXED: The cr2354 battery was low, when I replaced it, the bill validator started working.

My new machine's bill collector doesn't work, Here is a picture of the one I just got (won't suck in bills).

I also have a working one in my other S2000. I put it and it does the same thing, Cycles upon Power up but wont suck the bills in, so it may be something else.

I ran an Auto Configure and it says the Bill Acceptor is installed. As well, when I do a "Bill Test under i/o it says the acceptor is installed.

HELP! I have no idea what to do next.

Can't really go by what is on the label as techs at the end move heads and transports as needed.  What is your other machine?  Is it also an S2000?  For slots you need to make sure the correct protocol software is on the validator, the version number is used to determine what type of bills it will accept.  Thorough techs would write both the version number and the protocol ID. An S2000 requires IDO24 protocol.

They are both S2000 models. So we know the V2.4 one works. Your saying if I put it in the machine that had the 3.75 collector in it, it should work, as they are both S2000 machines.  so they have that one protocol?

Does that mean there is some other reason my bill acceptor won't work?

Hey, sorry if I made this thread too confusing at first. I rewrote my initial post to make it more clear . Please let me know if I can give you any more info .

I'm not getting anywhere on this so far. I really need to fix this machine.

If neither of the bill acceptors will pull currency in, you may have a credit limit issue.  Check the Bill credit limit on the machine that is not taking the bills.

It says " Field locked in Coinless Mode' and " Credit Limit(* $ ) : 100000.00" and " Jackpot Limit: Limit(* $ ) : 100000.00" which I changed it to " Jakpot Limit(* $ ) : 001190.25"  and finaly it says "Bill Limit(* $ ) : 3000.00"

I wonder is that jackpot being set at over $1200 would cause the machine not to work. You can't set those over $1200 can you?

P.S. I have not actually replaced my RAM battery yet, Had to order one. Not sure if that matters.

UPDATE: I pulled the bill validator out of the new machine (where it won't suck the bills in), and I put it in the fully working S2000 and it works. It lights up and takes bills.

So the problem is NOT the bill validator, we can rule that out.
