Need Help from anyone out there

(1/2) > >>

sidenseen:
Hi everyone, I purchased two very old IGT video poker machines and attempted to get the CRT screens repaired. The first attempt on the older machine was a sound followed by smoke, the second is a blank screen.

I dont know if there is any route foreward at this point, but I really want to get these machines working.  Is it worth it to try to get them converted to LCD screen or is this already a lost cause?

ANY help is appreciated, I really like the looks of this forum... Thanks

Steve

Welcome to NLG.

I'd suggest one machine at a time here. It get's convoluted having one thread for two different machines.
Since "sound and smoke" came from one machine, let's start with blank screen machine. It may not be the CRT but we need to determine if it's either an MPU issue or maybe power supply issue with the CRT.
Please start with a photo of the blank-screen machine. I may move this out of the monitor forum to the appropriate video slot forum.
