Title: BillVal Stacker Open and BillVal Stacker Box Open
Post by: irven11 on January 09, 2016, 05:38:11 PM
Hello guys!  I'm brand new to slot machines and don't know much but I hope somebody can help me here.

I've got a Bally Technologies Machine that I just bought.  It's 2012 and plays Blazing 7s.  I've got quite the problem and I've scoured the internet and here I bring it to you.  It just recently developed this problem that even when all doors are shut, it presents me a BillVal Stacker and BillVal Stacker Box Open indications.  I found in another post that one gentleman had a bad cash can, and as a secondary test to insert the can and push upwards from the bottom to try and actuate the switches.  With the cash can removed it gives the "Open Door S" but if I insert the can it immediately goes away.  What I don't understand is why I still have both those indicators on.  Can anyone help me out here?  I'm stuck. :EmoticonHelp4:

There should be a metal hinged door that you have to open to access the cash can. That door usually has a switch connected to it that detects if the door is either open or closed. The type of switch depends on the brand of bill acceptor that your machine has in it. I'm willing to bet this is your problem.
Also, there should be a white button on the very back center of the housing that the cash can slides into. This is the Cherry switch that senses if the can is inserted all of the way. Check to make sure the wires are connected to the back of this switch and that the switch and that it is operating properly. You'll be able to see the white plunger for this switch by pulling out the cash can and looking at the inside, back of the chamber that the can slides into.  Is your bilval head black, yellow or blue? Post some pics so we know what you're working with.

I’m having the exact same error. I’ve read the comment from hammer and I’m thinking I have another issue. I have a solid yellow and from what I’ve read that means the stacker box is removed. So that does coinside with the error.  Just missing the last piece of the puzzle here.  Like which wire from the stacker switches should be jumped and which go to the backplane etc.
