Those may not be error codes. Is the candle (light on top of machine) flashing?  Can you post a photo of the front display showing these flashing numbers?

Just before this happened were you playing the machine and got a winning spin? Does your machine have a coin hopper and it paid out some of the winning coins but not all?

No the lightsame are not on up top. The other number it flashes is 60. I bought it like this, the guy told me the coin comparator was bad and I needed a new one? I replaced the and a put the quarter in the slot but obviously it didn't make a change.

Can you post a picture of the comparitor? That way we can take a look and see if we can make some suggestions.

The little green light is not on? It was not on the other one either?

could be the machine has to finish paying out 461 coins,  maybe payed out 61 and ran out of coins or the hopper  malfunctioned.  open and close the door and listen to what is going on, listen and hear if the hopper tries to come on.

where do the coins go if you insert them into the slot?   why did the previous owner think the comparitor was bad?

After the stuff Jim mentions then you can also try turning the sensitivity adjustment in the bottom right hand side of the comparitor clockwise then counter clockwise until it stops.

And don't worry about the little green light on the coin comparitor, it only comes on when the slot machine door is closed. You'd have to be inside the machine to see it, or do something tricky with dental mirror.

I think you have a situation where the machine did not finish paying out when someone pressed the cashout button or had a winning spin. It is made to not forget this, wouldn't want someone to lose money in a casino if the electricity went off for some reason. You may have to put quarters into the coin hopper and let it finish paying out the 461 coins. You don't have to put that many in the hopper, can do it in steps.

they just fall right thrugh, i have been able to get the hopper to dump quarters , by opening the door and pushing the little white credit button under the coin mech i can actually play the game then and when i was winning it was dumping quarters i have since probally messed something up in the settings now it racks up credits untill i his cash out. but when i close the door it resets and shows the 60/461 error code and then i cant do anything again untill i open the door and reset it./

i also tried toi adjust the coin mech like you said but no results.

when i pust the reset button behind the power switch 2 times it cleares it back to 00 for the code. but unplug the machine and plug it back obn and it always goes to 3 doubble bars and shows me the 60/461 code?

my coin hopper is completley full at the moment and will not pay out anymore?

I would suspect the comparitor.

update: Its working perfectly now? i opened the machine pushed the little white button 3 times giving me 3 credits i kept doing this till i won i then pushed the cash/credit button and it spit out all of my winnings. i then reset the machine and now everything works as it should. even the dba works and takes all the new bills. im pretty happy with it. thank you guys. in the mean time i went ahead and bought a new reset key because i have been just using 2 jumper wires for the reset, lol it worked. this is my first slot machine experiecne i own over 250 arcade and pinball machines and do my own repairs on them and have been doing that for about 15 plus years but never messed with a slot machine till now.

you cannot reset a S+ machine!  when you open the door, you put the machine in the service mode, you can enter the diagnostic mode by pressing the white test button (from what you describe) behind the power on/off switch.  each time you press the white button you are actually going through a list of menus which will allow you to test every feature of the machine.  you want to press the button until you see a number 3 in the coins played window, this is the hopper test, the spin reels switch should be lit (provided the bulb is good), when you press the spin reels switch the hopper should turn on and count out 10 coins, which will also be displayed in the winners paid window.  if this is good, and you can play the machine using the small white button on the coin in optics board, then you have something wrong with the coin comparitor or its associated wiring or ??  see if you can get the hopper to work, I doubt if any setting would cause this problem.
