Hi all,
I am attempting to update some Gen2 Universal printers that have been fitted to IGT's in the past. I have already checked the serial numbers and we are ok on that score but all but one have old versions of firmware in them that I need to update to a newer version of IGT's firmware before I can update with ours.
Does anyone have the IGT download utility for these printers and a new ish version of firmware? The only issue is that if it's a GUN (Netplex) version of software then it can't have a 2 as the second to last digit and if it's a GUU (USB) version then it can't have a 4 as the third to last digit.
I have successfully updated one of the printers that started out with GUN0010503 in it and that works fine now with our software so if anyone has that version it would be greatly appreciated although as long as the rules above are followed it should work with any version of firmware. The only question I have about this is, is it possible to change a GEN2 universal from either GUN (Netplex) to GUU (USB) or vies versa via the IGT download utility? The interface is controlled via the firmware so I can't see it being an issue but I was wondering if anyone has actually done it or would I need to have a later GUU and GUN firmware?
